I normally shoot video at 59.94 fps, yet when added to the timeline, the properties are showing a frame rate of 29.97 fps
I tried just about every setting in Preferences and Project Properties but the result is always the same, problem also happens with VS2018 & VS2021
Must be doing something wrong, but can't figure out what.

Re: Incorrect Frame Rate
Works fine in VS2018 when VS is allowed to match the properties of the video clip. tletterRobertOZ wrote: I normally shoot video at 59.94 fps, yet when added to the timeline, the properties are showing a frame rate of 29.97 fps

Re: Incorrect Frame Rate
I do that automatically, but what's happening is when the media is added to the library, the properties show fps as 29.97 instead of 59.94, same if I add direct to timeline

- Added the 60fps file to the Library and its properties are correctly determined by VS (see LHS of fol image).
- Created a new project and dragged the 60p file from the Library to the TL, and VS correctly matched the file's properties (see RHS of fol image).

Re: Incorrect Frame Rate
Well. that was some exercise, first of all, tried HandBrake, tried various format options with a wide range of 59.94 fps clips, each time the resultant properties was given as 29.97 fps
Then tried WinX HD Video Converter, converting to .mov this time the correct fps is given and can be imported into VS with the correct fps.

Re: Incorrect Frame Rate
Robert why you shoot ~60 and not 50? you must have flickering.

Hi Adi,
Goes back to a time when I worked for an American Company, so using NTSC became the norm for me, I found some advantages (can't remember what they were now) so stayed with NTSC
Solved the problem with HandBrake, operator error (me)
