Video colour changed after exporting using VideoStudio

Post by rheneaschoi »

I have edited a video and exported it using VideoStudio. I neither applied any filters nor changed any colour, brightness etc. I just trimed the video and added the text to the video. But I found that the colour of the video exported (right side) is different from the source video (left side). Anyone know the reason?

I'm sorry but I can't see any difference in the colors, except perhaps that the light green on the bus in the right hand photo may be just a very small bit lighter than the left hand photo. But the difference is absolutely minimal... And if the video format is, as I suspect, mpeg of some kind (most likely mp4), then as you would be aware mpeg is generally a lossy format with a little quality lost with each rendering. You also don't say whether the properties of the right hand photo are supposed to be identical to those of the left hand side.

Being honest, as above, I'd have a hard time telling the difference between the two clips (could be my monitor, of course).

There is a subtle difference in the greens on the bus on the RHS. However that said, the frames aren't identical, so any comparison may be suspect.

When you created your project, did you allow VS to match the properties of source clip?
