VideoStudio Ultimate 2022 won't open

I've been running pretty much every version of VideoStudio since the Ulead days without any issues. I am currently running VS 2021 Ultimate without any issues so I decided to upgrade to VS 2022 Ultimate. The program installs without any issues, but it will not open. If I view the process in Windows Task Manger it actually pops up when I try to open it, but then disappears within a few seconds.

I am currently running Win 10 Pro, Version 21H2, OS Build 19044.1586

I followed a bunch of recommendation from postings on the boards:

1) Uninstalled and reinstalled with the virus protection turned off
2) Downloaded a couple of times and then did the install separately
3) Downloaded and installed the trial version (which is actually 32 Bit), with the same result.
3) Completely deleted all VideoStudio files and directories in the users and c:/programfiles then reinstalled
4) Deleted the 25 folder at C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\25.0 and let it rebuild it when i tried restarting VS. It still would not open and did the same thin in task manager. It popped up, rebuilt the 25 folder and then the process ended. All within a few seconds.
5) Renamed uvDV.dll to uvDV-old

Anyone have any other ideas?

Some people have had trouble with the NewBlue filters and Titler included with VS 2022. So you could try uninstalling them. That gets VS 2022 to work properly, and may also work for you.

this is also my problem.
trial version OK. (I made my own video)
I bought the ULTIMATE version. (89 EUR) I deleted the CorelVideoStudio folder on my desktop. UNINSTALL the corelVideoStudio program from windows.
I deleted (renamed) the "Corel VideoStudio Pro" folder in the mydocument folder

I'm downloading VideoStudio2022_Installer. Set the PAL mode (not NFTS). Because I'm European. Installation OK.

I'm starting VideoStudio 2022 ultimate.
New project click ... insert media.. browse.. select file ...OPEN.. result: Exit program
Open previous project .. browse.. select previous (trial ago) file... OPEN: result: Exit program.

Where is that folder on your hard drive?

I ask as I had 2 documents folders that certainly confused me, although did not stop the program from running but did affect some functions of the program.
C:\MyDocuments (only contained Video Studio files)
and
C:\Users\UserName\Documents

As for New Blue, advice from Corel was to Install Video Studio 2022, then before launching the program go to…..
C:\Program Files\NewBlueFX\uninstallers
To uninstall the New Blue filters

As mentioned we have to uninstall NB before first running Video Studio.

I am in this fix also. Submitted tickets to Support, called and have uninstalled and reinstalled, and even run a repair. I get less than the screen showed (just the black box requesting signin) not even the full picture. It has been a week without any answers. Although I am computer literate I don't think there should be all this trouble to get this fixed.

There's 3 of you now reporting this problem, but have any of you tried Ken's suggestion to un-install the New blue filters and Titler (Titler pro 5)? you may like new blue but if it's causing VS to NOT start, then your like is unsatisfied in several degrees.
I have all of those new blue items showing in the 2022 filter library and have no trouble starting CVS2022 on win10. So it may well be something else on the system that's causing the issue (video drivers? RAM? et al) that contributes: remove 1 contributor (eg the New blue items) and problem goes away.
With the growing evidence from multiple users that there is a start issue, and new Blue seems to be implicated, Corel might be persuaded to follow up by request via the admins, rather than the ineffective customer service team, wherever it is.

uninstall, run 2022_cleanup, delete Corel directories (...\appdata ... desktop, documents, etc)
restart WIN 10
start VideoStudio2022_Installer, Install VideoStudio Ultimate (fresh download 3.2 GB) serial OK, login OK
NewBlueFX unistall!

The original post is referring specifically to Video Studio 2022 NOT running, where the program hangs with the splash screen showing.

You appear to be able to run the program which then fails when trying to select / import your files.
This could be the type of files you are selecting.

If you were to use the libraries sample clips does the program crash.?

I purchased VS ultimate a short while ago and have tried all the above... no success. Why do we pay for this programme and then have to do all this work, and then it still does not work and customer support is useless. I left a note on their facebook page and did get an answer from customer service (still not working) then I was blocked from their page. I tried every suggestion above and when I launch the app, I get an icon on task bar for a few seconds, then nothing. Seems to be a nice product, but if it will not run, and the company will not support it, then what is the point? How do I get my money back? Or does the answer lie in making noise on social media? Can't make any money if the tools are broken!

When starting VS, do you get a line of running dots and a splash screen (this year, a young lady in the process of blowing bubble gum, like the snippet at the top of this forum; horrible IMHO, but there it is) or does it not even get that far??? If it's a launch issue, there are some fixes available . . .

Suggest ensuring that your Windows 10 and your video card software are updated. Have you checked Event Viewer to see if there are any events associated with the program crashing on startup?

I do not get the splash screen. I launch the app, then the VS icon shows on my taskbar; if I click on the taskbar icon a small box appears (typical app preview), if I click on the 'preview' it closes. If I click on the X on the preview it closes, if I do nothing, it closes in a few seconds.
I do not know why they blocked me on facebook, perhaps having an install problem and no customer service response could be bad for business.
Windows is up to date so are drivers. No events.
I have used CorelDraw for decades, so would like to use VS, but if it will not run...
