Custom Movie Profile
Just upgraded to VideoStudio 2022 and having issues making custom movie profiles with a user defined frame resolution. I need the final mpeg 4 file to be 1080 x 2160 resolution. When I create a new mpeg-4 movie profile, user-defined frame settings is greyed out. I can only select from the preset drop-down. Not sure why this is. I had been able to create custom resolutions in the prior versions. Help would be appreciated.

Re: Custom Movie Profile
IIRC there was a thread about this a while back, hope one of the moderators can find it quickly. I believe it's a codec related limitation if that is a clue at all.

Re: Custom Movie Profile
Not found that post...
Is there any special reason for 1080 x 2160 rather than the standard portrait size of 1080 x 1920, not a big difference in ratio
If you have successfully rendered to 1080 x 2160 using an earlier version then you can use the video file to create a new Movie Profile – Add option to use in Share.
You could also open the old project in 2022, that would be the best option.
Otherwise…..
you would have to set the project properties to use 1080 x 2160, AVI being the best option.
AVC.H264, Mpeg4, Mpeg2 will not do that.
There is an option to set project properties using Templates – Social Media options, but again using 1080 x 1920 standard frame sizes
