How to draw a (perfect) circle?

Post by pstein »

The first time in my PSP life I need to draw a (perfect round (=not manually by hand)) circle.

I miss a corresponding menu.

Where is it?

What do you mean by "a corresponding menu"?

In PSP use the Ellipse tool. This has the ability to create a perfect circle. There are three methods you can employ.

1) First is the easiest, just click the "circle" mode on the tool options palette. It'll default to a perfect circle.

or

2) While drawing your circle hold the SHIFT key to constrain the X and Y radius to be equal, this will also create a perfect circle.

or

3) Final option, after drawing a circle, go into Edit Mode (the icon with an arrow and a circle on it) and make the Radius X and Radius Y values the same. This will convert an ellipse into a perfect circle.

I was inserting a large dot then cutting out a smaller one inside that left a circle, but the option above is better. Thanks.
