Trying to move folder CvtedTitles to another drive

Post by mikeb »

When backing up my Documents folder I have noticed that it is getting much larger than expected. The cause is VideoStudio Pro 2018 leaving files in a folder called “Corel VideoStudio Pro\21.0\DMF_TEMP\CvtedTitle”
Each time I produce an iso file a copy of the mpg file is added in this folder. Most of the files are up to 4Gb each. At present there are 14 files taking up 21Gb. Rather than remembering to empty this folder before each backup can have VideoStudio use a location on another disc drive. Under preferences I have setup the working folder to use another drive but this makes no difference it still uses the one in Documents. Any help would be appreciated.

As the folder name suggests these are Temporary files used by the burning process, If you have completed the burn then you can delete those files.

We can avoid the Convert Title process thus avoiding those Temp files.
From your project on the main timelines use Share Mpeg2 to create a compliant DVD file.
MPEG-2 (720 x 480, 16:9, 60i, 8Mbps) for NTSC or MPEG-2 (720 x 576, 16:9, 50i, 8Mbps) for Pal
Using this file should avoid the Convert Title process.

If you do need a backup of the burn process first Create an Iso ( Create Disc Image)

Working Folders
Yes there is another working folder dedicated to the burner module, I think Corel just keep this a secret
Open the burner module
Lower left icon – Settings and Options, or press F6
Select another location for your Burner Working folder

Thanks Trevor for letting me know how to move the folder out of “Documents”. Without your help I wouldn’t have thought to see if there was “Preferences” in the burner module section as well as the main editing part of VideoStudio.
Many thanks Michael
