Congratulations.
SO 2-3 months ago, I was getting annoyed that PSP would not close down properly, I had to ALWAYS enter task manage and kill iit's process. Really?
Told to basically reset the software to fix it, lose all my settings etc...
Did it work? Depends on the day... still have to do it every so Often... but I really DO enjoy losing all my preferences to sort of fix it...
This new issue has been happening every so often, BUT.
Today, I'm making a SIMPLE image in 4K, that is for a metal reflective texture.
I take my base Image and greyscale it.
I darken/contrast it.
I open a different layered image (that is in 8K), unsee all but 1 layer, which has a texture with transparency I need. (some scratches, White will reflect light ingame, black will not reflect)
On my 4K image I make a new Raster, fill it white, create a mask from the 8K image displaying only 1 layer as Source Luminance.
Cool, now I have my darkened base image with a layer group which is 1 white raster and transparent mask on top, giving me the white scratches on the top of the dark base image.
I duplicate that layer group, turn off the original (because I want to keep if I need it later), and I merge the duplicate group into a single raster and leave it on, I then duplicate that raster again to make the white more prominent.
Simple right? seems like a REALLY REALLY SIMPLE, situation. I literally have 3 Rasters in the image, 2 have a lot of transparency, and 1 later group turned off on the image, I haven't even bothered naming the layers yet.
I save the layers as a .PSP.
I go to save a PNG version, as I need to convert this to a .DDS in another program.
CRASH to DESKTOP.
$%&# ME
I re-open the PSP version.

I delete the .psp and START AGAIN, I go through the process above again in exactly the same way, CRASH to DESKTOP AGAIN.
AGAIN the &%$#ing Runtime Error...
What the %#$& is the issue with this software?
This CRAP has been happening ALL WEEK whenever I'm using masks and layer groups.
I have reinstalled the %$@#ing Visual C++ Runtime Library, and I still get this $#!&.
HOW, HOW???? is this SIMPLE process SO $%&#ed in your software?
I don't wanna spend 30 minutes trying to make the same 3 minute image trying to navigate around whatever the hell is with your mask layer, or Alpha or layer groups... or whatever the %&#$ it is creating a %^&#$ C++ runtime error.
I don't need anyone to try and fix this, I'm &%$#ing DONE with this $%*#.
You've finally made me a convert to Adobe AGAINST MY WILL, that is how utterly sick to death of this I am.
