Just thought I'd add my comments
I have upgraded to 2022 ultimate. I also have random 'close-downs'. No error messages just cease's to function.
I have reported the problem, NO real answer has been forthcoming, other than re-install. Which I have done many times.
Normally after a day or two, the same error starts again.
I'll keep reporting it till something happens.

Can you be more specific and give more details regarding the video files you are using.
Can you say what you are doing when the program crashes, although I assume that is simply ramdom.

I know that some users have particular problems using footage from Drones, others use Iphones or tablets which may produce video using a variable frame rate.
In which case converting the video to a format that Video Studio likes may be the way forward.

If you try using the library samples to create a project do you have the same issues.

As for actions, quite difficult to lock down (and I have tried).
The best I can come up with is that it's generally something to do with viewing a clip.
But I have to open that up a bit..... It has crashed (died) when adding a clip and it has also died when starting a clip within a project as opposed to in the list.
As for files, they are all avi and are probably15-20 years old in range. resolutions are 720x576.

I do have some very high-resolution 4k and above drone footage, I think it's something like 5.4. From an Air2S.
I'll add them to the system tomorrow or later tonight if I get a chance. I'll see if there is another crash with them.

I already have Update SP1 for VS 2022. When exporting video or rendering when I click on share the window Encoumtered an improper argument will pop up.

I have experienced that error, a while ago now, and seen the same layout in Share
I found that if i selected Share immediately after the program shows the error message occurs, however if I allow Video Studio a little time to fully launch then the problem does not occur.

I am not on my pc at the moment but will check / test this again tomorrow

So from my project on the timeline choosing Share is no problem.
I notice your timelines do appear to be empty, so when does this problem occur for you.

Vendelin Zatko: will you please try Settings-Preferences-Performance, and uncheck both boxes in Hardware Acceleration, see if you get the same result?

Princy557: If the 15-20 year old AVI files are encoded as Mjpeg, please advise; our handling of Mjpeg has changed in past years. If those files are DV, like captures from your camcorder, then we should have no problem with those, since not much has changed in our handling of DV.

I set up the PC after 1 hour, I turned it on again, I opened the project, I clicked on the share, and it looks like everything is fine. SP1 has no error ...
