Hi All
I am becoming more adventures in my video recordings, and it is meaning more challenges
If I record an external audio track for video what is the best way to sync it up?
Also how do you stop it becoming un-synced when adding more into the timeline?
Cheers
Matching up audio to video

Re: Matching up audio to video
Hi Tom
Assuming you have recorded the video with sound and a separate audio track.
You can do it manually by adding the video to the top track and audio to a sound track, then switch to Sound Mixer, the timeline view will show a wave form, you can now move the sound track clip to match the wave form of the video track.
Otherwise try using the MultiCam Editor where we can add Video / sound files then allow the Editor to sync the tracks, once done we can then trim unwanted portions or choose sections to include in the project.
Leaving the editor returns us to the timelines with a VSP project files saved to the library, drag this to the timelines to continue editing.

Re: Matching up audio to video
Multicam is the only automatic way.
Otherwise you can do it the painful way (manually by aligning the waveforms).
Nowadays I am also working with multilayer and multi track videos with separate audio. I wish that it could be as easy as in other tools. Just selected the two tracks, right click and align based on waveform.
Come on Corel do something.... The word PRO in your products title should be earned.
