I have a group photo taken by someone whose skill or trembly hand left the image with mild blur (attached). I'd like to use this in a video and am wondering if any of the experts out there can tell me if there is a filter or technique in CVS that would enable the image to be sharpened up?

Re: Sharpening an image?
Get hold of another copy, someone sat at the desk is taking another shot, it has to be better than this one.
This image looks as thought taken with a low shutter speed, camera movement causing a duplicated image, a ghost image of all heads, easy to see when looking at the white shirts, so bad it is probably also out of focus.
Using an image editor would be best to fix any poor image, unfortunately I think this one is beyond help, sorry.

Re: Sharpening an image?
Trevor,
Really could not agree more, but . . this is the best I have. Don't remember who took it, but I'm in the front row, some time ago now so a repeat is impossible.
Years ago I tried an image editor - corel paint shop pro x6 - so complex for my simple needs at the time I just gave it up. I still use an old jasc photo album 5 editor occasionally, easy enough for what I need, even tho corel bought it 20 years ago, and it may even be the precursor of the much more complicated paint shop package I mentioned.
Adi,
A run with the trial looks to be a good improvement, still a shirt shadow the trial does not remove, won't save the result either but I screenshotted and edited the frame edges so almost as good. However, at $60 for a perpetual license I may occasionally use, is a bit much.
sigh.

Dave -
Connect with me, send me the images and I'll do my best with the tools I have. No promises of miracles but I can make some improvements.

Hi David -
I worked the image you posted...wow, the blur isvery bad. Who was holding the cell phone taking a pic (lower left)? Can you connect with that person?
Anway, this is the best I could do with my tools on your posted image.

Re: Sharpening an image?
Hi Gary,
Thanks for that. No, the photo taken 3 years ago and I've only just gotten around to a video using it, have no idea who took the photo

Hi David -
Too bad you can't get the other image. Anyway, what I upload is best I could do. If the image you uploaded is full size (looks like it might be) then you could grab the image I posted above. Or not.
