Delete the "VideoStudio2022" folder in DESKTOP!

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I've been back and forth with Corel tech support, using their cleanup tool and re-installing, for 2 weeks and nothing has worked.

Is your problem the same as original poster who cannot get passed the registration screen.
Glus one of Corels support team was replying here, however its uncertain if the OP did fix the registration issue as the topic seems to have dried up after Glus took the Private Message option.

As you have been in touch with Corel Support, anything we say may have been covered

If you are having issues with registration then you could try deleting the Messages although as said Support should have done that already?
I know of 2 message folders

C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Corel\Messages
C:\ProgramData\Corel\Messages

So how far do you get when trying to run Video Studio?

Thanks Trevor,
They've had me use the cleanup tools to uninstall and reinstall the program several times including in safe mode. I've tried setting up a new windows user profile, and most recently deleting the messages. The installation seems to work fine, but when it asks you to login the first time you open the program, I continue to get: "Error: An unexpected error occurred on the server. Please check your Internet connection and try again later."
My internet connection is working fine, and I can log in to my Corel account on their website. I just can't get past the sign in screen to open the program.

Hi, I'm having similar issue, totally unable to start the program. It asks me for my email address and password, and no matter what I enter, I'm getting an error. I know I already have a Corel account and I either stored the password in KeePass (not there, grrr), or used the same password as another account (not great, I'm moving things to KeePass over time). Neither of these worked, so tried password reset. Either I get blocked by an impossible to solve CAPTCHA asking me to identify images I hardly see, either I'm told the email address I enter is invalid. I also tried as a last resort to create a new account, to no avail, my email address was already used to register, so I ONCE AGAIN have to use stupid non-sense aliases, like adding random dots in my GMail user name or suffixing with +535r3tfgsradfoujhisadf. This started to happen with WordPress and now will be for each and every single site? This is a really bad non-sense. I'm really tired of loosing pretty much my whole spare time debugging silly issues like that.

Eric, your profile shows Win 7, is that still the case, VS2022 is compatible for Win 8, Win10 & Win 11 only, so you may have some issues trying a WIN 7 compatible install

Hi Eric
If you are having problems in launching the program where the registration panel fails then try deleting Messages
Please read this post / hot fix

You will need to know your account password to complete registration

Are you able to sign into your account from this link

You are best to have one account for all of your purchased programs, having multiple accounts can cause confusions.

If you cannot sign into your account you will have to contact Alludo Support for their help

I have just tried signing into my Corel Account which fails with an error message, tried a different browser same issue
Not had problems in the past.

Hello, I've been working with the Corel Paint Shop and Video Studio programs for a long time, and if there were any problems with them, they were manageable. With the installation of PaintShop 2023 and Video Studio 2022, I wanted to continue working with the program improvements. The initial installation and registration were normal. I was able to work with both programs. After a longer break, I wanted to work with both programs in November, unfortunately none. I only got as far as the login window, after entering the details an error message appeared: Server error, establish an internet connection. Note: My Corel account is accessible to me. Both previous versions PaintShop2022 and Video Studio 2021 were functional until uninstalled. An attempt to install Video Studio 2022 on a second PC ended at the login screen. Since November 19th, 2022 I have been in contact with Corel support, I have done everything that was suggested: uninstallation, deleting certain data and much more. After I created data via the Winaudit scan, I got the following message after the evaluation: Thanks for your time. The errors are caused by libcef.dll These errors usually indicate a corrupted Windows registry. Reinstalling the operating system is the only solution. Kind regards, Dragos Corel Technical Support I can only carry out this notice from Corel with help. Since you already dealt with the topic in March, I am interested in how you solved the problem with the login mask.

Hi Converter
Sorry you are having problems running the program.
Two issues come to mind although Support should have covered these……

1 / For registration issues we were advised to delete the Messages then try launching Video Studio
We then choose “Already have an account”
Now enter the e-mail address that was used to purchase the program, this will be your Corel Account e-mail address.
And of course your account password.

There is a Knowledge Base article referring to Messages, when I find that I will post here.
Messages folders can be found here;….
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Corel\Messages
and
C:\ProgramData\Corel\Messages

2 / Crash on launch from splash screen could be a New Blue conflict
You can install the program and before launch, before running the program go to…..
C:\Program Files\NewBlueFX\uninstallers
and run the uninstallers, after which VS should launch without issues.

Sorry I will not be able to help if it is a windows registry issue (libcef.dll), but if you have tried on 2 computers with the same issues then that is a little strange..

Thank you for this answer. I have already tried some hints from Corel Support. After the Christmas holidays I will try your help. You're right, it's strange that the programs don't work on 2 computers but the previous versions of the program worked. First of all, thank you for your answer and have a nice Christmas.

Another thought to install the program in stages.
Download the program files again just in case the original files are corrupt.
The program has to be uninstalled then we can download the installation files by choosing a new empty destination / save folder.

I would then use the Custom option to install the Main program only.
Run the program.
Then install the Contents, again run the program to test.
Now install the Bonus Features, assuming you own the Ultimate version

Hello Lata, thanks for the tips. I've tried everything. I only installed the main program. The test of the program again gave the error with the login window - server error - no internet connection. I even followed the advice from Support Corel- These errors usually indicate a corrupted Windows registry. Reinstalling the operating system is the only solution.- The test after reinstalling OS and installing VS 2022 -login window-server error-lack of internet connection. I checked my Corel account again - I have access to the account with my login data. It's weird for me that I can't access the account after installing VideoStudio. Converter

It does not seem to make sense that both computers fail to register the program having no internet.
Odd to think there is the same issue with the registry needing to re-install the OS.
Are both computers using Windows -11

You mention owning VS 2021, are you able to install that program, I believe the registration process is different to that used by VS2022
