Guys,
Lately I ran into a problem concearning PSP Ultimate 22. I cannot start psp. When I double click its icon an empty white window is promted, where the only option is to click "close".
Doing so does not close the window. The whole PSP process freezes. The only thing I can do is to close the process via task manager.
Deinstalling/ reinstallation results in the same white window where PSP freezes.
I bought PSP 22 in August 21.
I hope anyone can help me.

Try resetting the program to defaults: hold down the shift key and click on the shortcut to start PSP. You should get a dialogue box asking if you want to reset. Confirm, and PSP should open after a while.
Re: PSP Ultimate 22 freezes/ won't start
Thank you very much for your reply. Following your hint I managed to reset the settings. Unfortunately the white window (advertisement window in fact with the header "special offer") popped up again followed by the software freeze.
I managed to start PSP again by running in admin mode. PSP works fine without any problems. When I start the 64-Bit PSP using another account the program stops working as described above.
I think the problem might be the forced "special offer" window, which does not appear in admin mode. is there a way to turn off the need to show advertisements before starting PSP? Or reset the advertisement history or something?

I don't know if it will make a difference, but have you tried the Message options under the Help menu?
Other than that, I hope somebody else might have more ideas.

As Forriner states adjusting the Message options is a good place to start. There is a "Sticky" topic on this subject. https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=65942
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

Re: PSP Ultimate 22 freezes/ won't start
First, delete the Messages folder which stores all messages.
Open File Explorer, and in the address bar type %Appdata%\Corel\ Or the full path of C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Corel. You'll see a folder named "Messages" Delete this. Then turn off your internet so it can't grab the latest news again.
See if PSP opens.
There are other options to stop the update/ads from showing up. There is an entire topic on options, but hopefully, once you've deleted the messages folder, you can open PSP and turn off messages in the help menu as forriner suggested and it won't have to be a whole thing.
