vs 2022 crashing

I just installed vs 2022, I try to start it, but barely started it crashes miserably. It's going to have to be taken seriously by Corel because unfortunately I'm not the only one having this problem with vs 2022 or the same older software.
I have the same problem with vs 2021 on another PC, and after many emails with the technical service and many reports sent, deleting the software as well as files and then reinstalling, I am still at the same point
Is this a problem with Windows 11?

It's certainly not a problem with Windows 11. I have Win 11 and had no trouble installing and running VS 2022. I see your Profile says you are still using Win 10. Does that need correction?

When you say you try to start VS, does it actually open to allow you to insert video in the timeline? Or does it crash immediately you open it? If it does open, what kind of video do you try to insert in the timeline before it crashes?

Is it the trial version or the full version which you have installed?

I therefore deleted vs 2022 and 2021 which was still installed, then I cleaned everything with the tools recommended by Corel, but unfortunately nothing helped, the program launched then crashed after 5 seconds.

Here is the result, I'm really disappointed, I started with studio 10 in 2007, then followed Corel until today, I'm going to have to ask Corel for a refund and that's saddening me

I'm still at the same point, so I put VS 2020 back which works very well, 2021 and 2022 them don't work for me, curious isn't it?

I think I just solved a similar issue I was having with VS2021. Titler 5 doesn't actually seem to work.

C:\Program Files\NewBlueFX\uninstallers

See if you've got an uninstaller for Titler 5 for Corel, uninstall, reboot, and see if VS crashes

I have also had an error report when using the Repair option for 2022 at approx 80%
This was reported to Corel some time ago.
I can only suggest you do not use Repair instead re-install the program, if you wish using ghe clean-up tool to remove 2022.

If you do not have NBTP5 installed, are you using the Pro or Ultimate version of 2022?

Hi, I have just purchased Video Studio 2022 ultimate. I upgraded from 2018. 2018 was stable and less complicated to use, 2022 is consistently crashing when I try combine two projects. I am not happy and very frazzled. I am sure there is an easy fix. Does anyone have any ideas.

Welcome to the forums

Regarding your projects, were they created using 2018 or 2022?
If 2018 then not all editing features are used by 2022 and therefor could cause issues.
When you installed 2022 did you uninstall 2018, some editing features used by 2018 may have been uninstalled again causing problems for projects used by 2022.

Take care when opening projects using 2022 as they will no longer open using 2018 especially if you have saved them in 2022, you are best to use Windows Explorer to create a copy specific for use in 2022
