Hi Rob
I assume you are referring to Edit- Take a Snapshot
Two options here…..
1 / when in Project playback the properties of the project will be used to create an image as seen on the preview screen.
2 / in Clip playback mode the image is taken from the actual video file, size depending on the videos properties
You should check the project properties frame size, top right of the library.
Also right click your video for properties to view the frame size under Attributes

Hi Trevor that's what I meant lol
So in the project properties frame size it says 720x480 but the video files are Full HD 1920x1080 how do I make the image file to see the full properties?

Re: Take Snap Shot in Video Studio Ultimate 2021
Normally when we add a video to a new project we get a message prompting us to change the project settings to assist with smart render.
This would update the project to use the video files frame size, in your case 1920 x 1080.
You can of course update the project properties Settings - Project Properties to use 1920 x 1080.
Taking a snapshot would then use the higher sizes.

I think I've sussed this out - I went into Preferences and Enabled "Smart Proxy" and selected the desired resolution from there!

I did not realise Smart Proxy had anything to do with taking a Snapshot???
