Not displaying correct image size
I have searched, I have reached out to support, I can't get answer or a solution on this. I'm using PSP21, I need my images to be exact measurements, ie 9inx9in. However, when I create a new image that's 9inx9in, at 100% zoom, it is HUGE. I have to scroll to see it. A 9 inch image should not take up more than a whole screen at 100%! It seems more accurately displayed at 10%, but this isn't helpful. I want to see it at 100%. I want to know what I'm looking at is how my image will print and look. I have looked through all the settings, I can't seem to find anything relating to this or any reason as to why it wouldn't display accurately. All support did was tell me to reset everything, which did nothing but make me lose all my settings.

Re: Not displaying correct image size
It seems that you don't know the meaning of PPI and the meaning of Resolution. Your image is probably created at 300 PPI which is the correct value to get good quality. If you create it at 100 PPI, it will be displayed 100% complete on your screen assuming you have a 1920x1080 pixel screen. But your image will have a dimension of 900 pixels, which allows it to be displayed 100% complete on this screen.

Re: Not displaying correct image size
To add to what Jean-luc said. A computer screen doesn't care about actual real life physical sizes. It has no idea what size something is displayed at. 1 inch on your screen will be very different from one inch on a 32inch 4k monitor. This is because everything in computers is pixels. You need to figure out how many pixels are in 1 physical inch on your monitor and set that as the PPI value for the resolution of your monitor. Be aware, however, that printers and monitors are different which is why almost no one ever tries to make an image match a certain physical size on their screen. They design the image for their printers and then zoom in or out of the image to see it at the appropriate size on their monitors.
I technically have a 17.3 inch monitor on this laptop. And it's pixel resolution is 1920x1080. Doing some fast math that roughly comes out to 127.34 pixels per in. So if I make an image in PSP that is 9"x9" at 127.34 PPI resolution then at 100% it should roughly take up 9 inches on my screen. It won't be 100% exact as 127.34 is obviously just an estimation and there are no actual half-pixels. But it'll be close.

Re: Not displaying correct image size
To add to what others have said, I have bolded what I think is an important portion of your post as quoted above. The main point to be aware of is that how the image looks on your monitor will not tell you how it will look when printed. To look good when printed an image needs to be created with a great number of pixels - approximately 2700 pixels on a side for a 9 x 9 inch printed image of best quality. If your monitor has a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels it can't display the whole image at 100% because the image contains more pixels on a side than your monitor. So when opened on your screen so that you can view the whole image PSP has to zoom out to "squeeze" the image into the smaller size needed to fit into your monitor's smaller number of pixels.Mhofmann86 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 26, 2022 9:45 pm I have searched, I have reached out to support, I can't get answer or a solution on this. You might want to become more familiar with PPI (Pixels Per Inch) mentioned in previous replies to see how that affects how an image will size and look when printed, particularly if you want the image to look clear when printed. If interested, you can go to this post in a thread from several years ago:
