VS7 and Leadtek Winfast 2000

Post by davo »

Hi, I have recently upgraded to VS7 SE from VS6.
I had no problems with VS6, but under the capture setting I can't select Australia as the country/region and hence can't view and channels that my Winfast TV Tuner card can.

If I select "united states" I can get one channel, but none of the others. I have also tried all other countries and none work.

Does anyone have any ideas?

davo,
i have exactly the same problem ! i cant even get an answer out of ulead in 6 mths. i do like the programme but due to the lack of response, i am now looking at alternative programmes . if ulead do read these forums , and they should! THERE IS NO WAY I WILL UPGRADE TO 8 IF I CANT GET A SIMPLE THING LIKE TV CAPTURE TO WORK. please let me know if you find a fix, but for me anyway TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR ULEAD

First thing you need to note drc is that no-one from Ulead ever responds to anyone in these posts and as far as we know no one from Ulead even reads them - so veiled threats have no meaning here. - we are all users like you trying to help each other.

The answer to both of you is simple - upgrade to version 8 and you will find Australia in the list of countries for TV settings.

Hum Ho - I have *exactly* the same problem - I can't use VS 7 SE with my WinFast TV2000XP tuner card because under VS the drop down list of countries excludes Australia - where I happen to be. The TV card works fine with Winfast's own PVR software : you can select Oz & up come all the local TV channels.

Was there ever any solution for this apart from upgrading to VS8 ?

( I don't count that - these blighters havealready taken my money once & failed to provide goods that work properly. )

And Adobe Premiere Elements doesn't work as it should either !

A bad night.

Regards to all

1. I don't think there was (or is) a solution to VS 7 not giving you the choice of Australia for the card.

2. I live in Australia.

3. I have VS 8.

4. I have the Winfast DV2000 tuner card. I could choose Australia and it works perfectly well on all channels.
