Stacked Images

Post by DoctorT »

Hi!

I want to create an 18" (H) x 24" (W) Image that is made up of 12 6" (H) x 6" (W) Images. The Larger Image would display 4 Smaller Images in each of 3 Rows. I am planning to create the 12 Smaller Images and, then, Copy and Paste As A New Selection the 12 Smaller Images in the Larger Image. And, I know how to do it.

Then, I want to create a 1/2" (H) x 1/2" (W) Circular Image to be placed on Top of the Center of the Lager Image. Not, a Square Image, but a Circular Image. In other words, the 4 Corners would not be displayed. How do I do it?

Thank you!

Hi!
Paste the image as a new layer.
Draw the circle around the subject (should be filled with color).
Reduce the Opacity of the layer with the circle so that you can see through it.
Adapt the size and position of the circle.
Do Selections/Selections from Vector Object.
Delete the vector layer (should be completely removed from the Layers Palette).
Now the selection will be applied to your image.
Do Selections/Invert.
Do Edit/Cut.

If you do the manipulation on your image first, don't forget to Promote the background layer (you will keep the transparency).
