An annoying problem for professional users in VideoStudio is the lack of access to high-precision coordinates.

For example, in VideoStudio and the special window related to Customize Motion, we only have access to integers numbers to change the coordinates, while in Pinnacle Studio we are able to change the coordinates with decimal numbers.

Alludo's policy is to introduce VideoStudio software for beginner and intermediate users and Pinnacle Studio software for professional users.
In my opinion, this is a great injustice to us VideoStudio users.

Perhaps the reason for Alludo is that decimal numbers conflict with the simplicity of VideoStudio.
But I say no, because they can put an option that is disabled by default and by enabling this option we will be able to access decimal numbers.

If VideoStudio is equipped with pro-caliber tools in the future, then it will attract the attention of professional users and we may see the return of users who migrated from VideoStudio to Pinnacle Studio before.

FWIW one of those links says it has been released yesterday (it's already 31 January here in New Zealand and in China). The other merely says it will be released soon. As you have already indicated, this sort of thing has happened before, and we do not have any date for the official release. We will let Corel/Alludo know.

Mr. Ken Berry, so we conclude that every year the Chinese version is published earlier than the English version.

You can conclude what you like. All I was saying was what I saw in those links. And adding that as far as we are concerned here, we have not received any indication of when the new version might be made available.

When you use ease in/out motions on something that is rotates, there's always a sudden jolt just before the animation ends. I'd love to see that finally resolved too!

I would like to be able to change the text point of the file names in the media panel and the text point size of the names in the timeline. It could be large, medium, or small. Since what version, the text is too large and only a few characters are displayed, making it incredibly difficult to use. Please don't assume all users are editing on a 4K screen.

I would like the overlay tracks in the timeline to be able to be dragged and dropped up and down like layers, or organized in folders like layers. The more timelines there are, the narrower they become.
It would be easier to avoid the overlay tracks becoming extremely narrow if only the tracks you want to edit could be displayed.

Well, if we could nest editing while opening multiple projects in real time, that would solve the problem... It's possible that they don't dare to add the feature because they want to differentiate from Pinnacle, but that would be sad. I think it's sad that they might not include such a feature to differentiate Pinnacle from Pinnacle. Since they are originally from different manufacturers, I hope they will include a feature for users of each software.

VideoStudio was originally made by Ulead in Taiwan, so it makes sense that information from Asia is so fast. If audio synchronization of multiple videos can be done on a regular editing screen instead of multi-camera editing, I would welcome that feature.

Have you implemented particle filters and text effects and AI-based motion tracking and highly accurate mask creation yet?

This is a bug that has been happening in the last few versions, but I would like you to quickly fix the bug that when I save a custom DVD menu screen in an Asian PC environment, the task terminates without any error message. I think it is caused by the name of the folder where the custom DVD menu is stored. I know there are more and more videos being posted online, but I enjoy creating DVD and Blu-ray menu screens and use them for playback in places where only a player is available. We distribute them to people we know, sell personal media, etc. Things I used to be able to do are no longer possible.

Actually no.
There's a company called C&J Marketing (Chinese: 思杰马克丁) and they are located in Jiangsu Province, China Mainland. This company is the exclusive reseller of Corel Products in China Mainland. Simplified Chinese version of VideoStudio were only available for C&J customers a few years ago. Although there is Traditional Chinese support in VideoStudio, but Simplified and Traditional Chinese use different character sets. There're some problems to use Traditional Chinese applications on a Simplified Chinese operating system.

In the past few years, major VideoStudio updates were released in the middle of February. But in China, the software will be available between the end of February and the beginning of March.
C&J has a VideoStudio Chinese Website for Chinese customers only. The VideoStudio Official Website, www.videostudiopro.com, has no Simplified Chinese option.

And here's a story:
Software piracy problems are serious in Chinese Market. As a software company, Corel didn't make much money in China.
In VideoStudio X5, there are 12 languages available for users. But in VideoStudio X6, there are only 7 languages available, and Simplified Chinese support is removed in this version.
According to C&J employees, Corel just gives up because there are few Chinese customers actually paid for Corel softwares.
So, C&J started to ask websites to remove piracy copies of Corel Software, and push ads to let people purchase genuine software.
And the price is cheap. For example, the price of VS 2022 Ultimate full license on videostudiopro.com is 79.99 US dollars. But in C&J's VideoStudio Chinese website, the price is 349 CNY (equivalent to 51.20 US dollars).
Since then, more and more Chinese users started to purchase a genuine copy of VideoStudio, and Corel just "see the dawn of hope" in the Chinese Software Market. In 2014, Corel and C&J released a Simplified Chinese only version of VideoStudio X7, and the story of "VideoStudio in China" just goes on.

Vicky V wrote: Sun Oct 02, 2022 12:08 am It would be nice to have the now obsolete and abandoned Motion Studio 3D completely added to Next version of VideoStudio2023. The lay-out is already in the current version, just finish adding the whole software. Let's call it a deal. I don't mind if have to pay extra. MS3D currently works on W10 but it needs improvements for 4k video animation and resolution, better realistic texture application along with blending modes such as these added to VS recently. CMS3D is the father and mother of many 3d editing animation software's out there today, came out way ahead of its time..., how come is not on the top of the line? Simple! Corel YOU gave up on it just like that, didn't improve nor updated any of its features for 11 years, better yet decided to dump it. Bad, bad, bad decision. :( YOU need a team of engineers and programmers with a revolutionary vision to step-up over the competition. You can do better than simple little updates to call the attention of high-school kids using social media, think-outside the box, out of your comfort zone; blow our minds. Bring BACK the GLORY days of all these COREL applications used by millions. I'll happily pay double for an ultimate version with all the MS3D included on it (with all these new features). Let me show you what your old abandoned 3D software can do with a lil bit of creativity!!!

I still do all 3D from Motion Studio and not in VS. It's much better and I hope Corel will upgrade it as a standalone application.

Yep, that it. At the bottom of the page, there's a link called "正版授权". It links to a distributor certificate issued by Corel.

Sections within the timeline. As I'm in the editing process I would find it useful for large projects to create discrete sections where I have completed the edit and don't want any actions I may do further along the timeline to adversely affect the prior section.
