Problem:
I'm trying to create a 1080p 50 FPS video file using VS Ultimate 2021. In my project there were various video files having different resolutions, encoded differently and having different FPS. I've noticed that VS couldn't render the project into a video file. After some online search I figured out that the reason for this is that the video files were in different format and having different FPS.
To make the project work, I'm attempting to convert all video files to H.264 High Profile encoded video with 30 FPS.
Now I'm seeing another problem.
There is a video file, lets call it the original file. When I import it to VS and play, the aspect ratio appears normal:
But when I import the converted video to VS and play, the aspect ratio is distorted:
Why's this happening? What's the solution?
My Corel VideoStudio Ultimate 2021 version is 24.1.0.299 (64-bit Ultimate). The source files' properties are in the attachment. The video file is recorded from smart phone. My selected TV system is PAL. This problem appears in NTSC too.

Re: Aspect ratio isn't maintained in video clip in VS Ultimate 2021
Welcome to the forum.
That will be a problem if all of the video in the project is in that format which is in 9:16 format. A "normal" video format would be 16:9. With some smartphones, though, VideoStudio can change the format to 16:9 without stretching the video the way yours shows. If you press the Aspect Ratio button where the red arrow in my attached image is pointing, have you tried any of the buttons there?

Your second video is using 1080 x 1080, that is square and is how Video Studio displays it
Your original used 1080 x 1920, portrait aspect
Your original used 1080 x 1920, portrait aspect

Yeah, I noticed it. I've found how to change the destination resolution when converting, it's in the dimension tab.
Thanks for the help.
