I'm a newbie here. I'm learning VideoStudiox9. I'm a drummer and I want to capture the audio of me performing to a pre-recorded drum track, I wanna sync the .wav or .mp3 file to video I pull from either my Sony A7s or my GoPro Hero8.

I've been able to import both the .wav file of the pre-recorded song plus my drum tracks (all in one .wav file) and the mpg4 video from the GoPro. I'm not having luck syncing the video with the audio because I can't quite line it up. One of my thoughts was to just do the audio on my Sony A7S camera with an external Microphone that picks up the pre-recorded track from speakers and another mic that picks up my drums.

Please advise on how to do this. I have a recording studio program called preSonus with 8 microphone inputs that I collect the audio tracks from my performance and sync with a pre-recorded song I bought.

Welcome newbie, VS can only sync down to a single frame. Sometime this isn't enough for independed video and sound tracks but this is all you have.
Are your cameras run the same fps?
I edit few gigs with VS, syncing one track from the PA consul and one from the main camera. Was it 100% ?? maybe, I did my best and no one complained...
