Paint Shop Pro Bundle featuring Comic Book
I recently bought PPS with a bundle that is supposed to contain several scripts.I installed the scripts app and it said it was installed correctly, but I don't find the scripts either under Scripts or artistic effects menu. The scripts included one called Comic Book that I was primarily interested in. A search of my entire computer doesn't return that name.

Re: Paint Shop Pro Bundle featuring Comic Book
I want to be clear when you say it doesn't appear under "Scripts" Do you mean the script toolbar and it's drop-down list of scripts? Or do you mean in the File menu under Scripts? My first instinct is to tell you to contact Support as their add-on installers sometimes have issues recognizing the latest version of PSP....mostly because they still insist on using separate installers that look for specific versions of PSP. But as I'm not familiar with the bundle you're talking about I cannot comment on whether or not that's what's happening here.

Re: Paint Shop Pro Bundle featuring Comic Book
Thanks Levi
The bundle currently coming with Paintshop Pro ultimate 2022 Includes this..
"Save 20% + Get Artistic Effects Script Bundle FREE (worth $60)
Double your photo power with PaintShop Pro and the Artistic Effects Script Bundle
Choose from antique, comic book, photo sketch, and more themes
Mix and match various effects to produce one-of-a-kind results
Transform your images into art with these remarkable effects"
I have used Painter for many years but this is my first time using Paintshop. I installed the app and have looked everywhere for the bundle but it doesn't appear. I looked under scripts in the tool bar, effects, searched the computer for the names, no luck!!! This is a new computer so it is fairly easy to search.

Re: Paint Shop Pro Bundle featuring Comic Book
Instead of searching the computer for the names, you might want to try searching it for "pspscript" (without the quotes) because that's the extension for scripts. That should return a list of all such scripts on your machine and their locations. Sort that by date and the latest ones should be the scripts you're looking for. They might not have the actual names that you have been searching for. Just a thought....

Re: Paint Shop Pro Bundle featuring Comic Book
I would recommend calling Support then just in case. It could be that it's installing in a location for an older copy of PSP, or just be that the artistic effects script bundle installer is failing to write it to your HDD and not letting you know. This has come up before with different bundles like the Template bundle. They may even be able to offer you an alternate download.
As JoeB mentions scripts have a pspscript extension. Also PSP looks for scripts in very specific places. To find out where PSP is looking for installed scripts go to File -> Preferences -> File Locations. A dialog will pop up, select "Scripts-Restricted" from the list of asset types and you'll see a list of folders where PSP is looking for scripts. Any scripts it finds in these folders will come up on the Script Toolbar. If the scripts are not installed in these folders they won't show up.

Re: Paint Shop Pro Bundle featuring Comic Book
Scripts restricted and trusted do not contain much .... The pspscript are filed under LANGUAGE EN in Presets...which is strange to me..I have not seen that file structure before in programs, but I don't know PSP file structure. There is even a data folder with thumbnails of most of the presets. This could be a windows 11 thing... It is an extensive list... but none of the scripts from the bundle show up us anywhere in searches, even of presets. I have a ticket in to support. Will let you folks know what I find. Thanks for the help.LeviFiction wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 7:41 pm I would recommend calling Support then just in case. Re: Paint Shop Pro Bundle featuring Comic Book
I am not 100% sure that the script bundle that came with PSP21 Ultimate is the same but it appears to be from your description. The bundle installed for me in the following folder (see pic). You then need to make sure that PSP is pointed to this folder in file locations.

Re: Paint Shop Pro Bundle featuring Comic Book
Thanks for the screenshot. It confirms for me that the folder is not there. I have three folders in that area Artistic, File open, and Photo. All folders show an install date the same as the program itself and all files in the area show a creation date of 10/5/2021 suggesting to me that they also came with the program. There is something called Comic Line Art, but no color comic book or any of the other files you have.

Did you ever find a solution for this problem? I'm having the same issue, and it is infuriating!

It's not something you need worry about any more. You originally registered on this forum as syvsyc11 and it was the email address with that which caused the server problem. You re-registered as syvsyv10 with a new email address, and that does not cause any server problem. We have therefore deleted your syvsyv11 account.

Re: Paint Shop Pro Bundle featuring Comic Book
Syvsyv10....No I didn't find the answer but have moved on to using other programs for now. Windows 11 is causing me LOTS of issues. My new printer won't work and the manufacturer acknowledges it is a Windows 11 problem. I don't need to use Paint shop right now so I'm going revisit the issue at a later date. I have the downloads...Too much frustration right now.
