This is my first video with Corel VS. I want to put a label/title on different items in my video and have it on the item. Like below:
https://youtu.be/sqkz7Ark-Y4?t=37
I tried Titles but it always wants to be large with a full background and motion. I thought of overlays but i don't see how to do text. I've googled this and i wondered if part of the problem is i don't know if titles is the right word for this.
Thanks!
Very noob question: titles?

Just a quick response -- though I agree with canuck that you need to look up the tutorial and user guide to see in detail how to control how titles look.
But essentially the size and other things in VS are controlled the same as they are in other programs. For size you need to change the size of the font, and even the font itself. Unfortunately the control panel for this is very small on the VS screen and hidden away a little. Have a look at the image I have attached here. The red arrow is pointing to the title control panel. You need to click on the little box which is blue or the box to its immediate right. That opens a much larger panel with all the things that control how the title looks. The font size, for instance, is where the green arrow is pointing. Reduce the number and this reduces how large the title appears on the screen.
But there are a lot of other things you can do with titles, and the tutorials and users guide will tell you about them.

Ok, I figured out what was happening. I wasn't getting the titles control panel but the animations panel.
