I, may have only noticed these 4 new buttons on the timeline lately, I probably managed to ignore them all these years, I'm not sure when they got added. I know they jiggle the start and end frames for a clip, but how should I really be using them?
Whatever the cause, is there a tutorial that shows how these cool buttons work in a workflow at all, I'm not even going to try right now, would love to rather learn the right way to use them than get a mental model that just blows up, when it comes to linked editing. What do these buttons do?
Slip, stretch,roll,slide

Re: Slip, stretch,roll,slide
No actual tutorials as far as I know but is documented in user help / guides
Press F1, then search for Slip, also Help – User Guides
However there is an issue when using the trim handles on the timeline
With those Slip etc options deselected
Add a video to the timelines, now drag the handles on the ends of the clip, this allows us to increase the length, It adds duplicate frames, just like freeze frame, I believe this to be wrong as done by mistake does mess things up a bit, We should have to at least select one of the Slip options or have a warning that this is happening.
