Freezing up
Corel paintshop pro freezes up when adding some of the effects, is there a fix for it?

Re: Freezing up
What effects?
Is it a permanent freeze (You have to force close PSP)? Or just a freeze while it processes the effect? (usually there is a progress bar at the bottom to show it's working). Is this in the Photography workspace or the Complete/Essentials workspaces?

Re: Freezing up
Its a permanent freeze or loop, it tryes to apply the effect but the loop is a constant and won't apply so I have to force close it out

Re: Freezing up
And the other part of my question? Which effects do this? Or is it just any random effect?

Re: Freezing up
Part of me wants to blame your RAM. 4GB on a 64-bit machine is the bare minimum to run, not to run effectively. But my Surface Pro 3 (old as it is) also only has 4GB of RAM. I'm always running at about 90% memory usage. And I don't have this issue with PSP 2022. Nor did I with 2018 back when I was using that. What size images are you working with usually? in pixels?
How many programs / browser tabs do you usually have running at the same time as PSP?
Does turning off auto-save make any difference?
