Smart Package Problem

Post by alanball »

Hi all
Just trying to package a few old projects up. Just came across one that comes up with the following message:
Untitled.jpg
I can share the VSP file to video, and that runs no problem, but never had this message come up with Smart Package.

Does anyone know if there is a way to determine which file is the problem without going through the project and deleting each file one at a time? Or how to gather all the associated files in one folder?

Thanks

I originally posted regarding Mercalli but now think that was in error

Ok
The project timeline may contain a VSP file, a process called nesting
This would disable Smart Packaging giving the error message you are seeing.

The VSP file will have been dropped to the timeline as a single VSP clip, it is possible to insert the VSP as expanded which shows all clips within on timeline, allowing for further editing and indeed Smart Packaging.

I would locate the VSP, right click the clip for Locate On Computer
Open the VSP and render to a new video file.
Now open your main project to replace the VSP on timeline with new video

Thanks Trevor
I will check that as you are more than rightly correct. I think I did use a VSP inside the project.
Many thanks
