Change the size of the area an image is in...

Post by Sam Goofus »

Heyo All,

I'm new here, actually this is my first post, so to warn you, I have to say I always ask oddball Q's! Either it's help for something that should have occurred to me right away, or something that makes no sense at all. Here we go...
Oops, Windows 10, sorry.
I'm trying to change the size of not an image itself, but the space it is in. I would call it a window within the workspace of the program. When I take a screenshot, I paste the result into the workspace, which it fills up. I can paste a second, third, 19th screenie, but each one fills up the whole space. Now I can zoom them down to thumbnail size to make room, but the space, area, window, frame, whatever, still fills up the workspace! That is what I want to manipulate.

Up to 2019, I've been using PSP version 8, still a Jasc product, and still works. Moving these windows there had all kinds of commands, presets, and settings. It was all grab the corner and make it tiny with only a little of the image showing.
This must still be available, there must be settings and all the rest for these windows. I just can't find any reference to this anywhere, and search engines don't come close...

Help me!
Thanks ~ Sam

Hi Sam and welcome to the forum.

Go to the Window menu and uncheck Tabbed Documents and see if that gives you what you are looking for.
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

That's it!

Thank you, Kathy_9! I must have seen that, can't say why I didn't try it. I'd been doing so many things that way, it just seemed odd that it wasn't right there as I was used to.
Thanks again ~ Sam
