2021 Template Pack

Post by Mark Swanson »

So, I just upgraded to 2021 Ultimate and with it came the new Template Pack. I believe that I found it at C:\Users\Win10User\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate and I am not sure if I can run them from there, or how. Should they be moved so VS can find them? Like maybe here C:\Users\Win10User\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\24.0\VSPTemplate

I have tried running a few of the templates by clicking on the files in the folders, but they don't seem to work that way. Thank you!

Any folders within the VSPTemplate should be available from the library - templates.
I believe within the custom category
I think there were 5 templates

OK, I see those five.. that is it? Ok then...
I seem to have a ton of templates in the first folder location I listed. The folders have names such as "10 Amazing titles" and "Rotating text" and "The Thing" and many more. They seem to have all the files in each folder. How can I access these? if I try to run them right from the folder most do not work.

The VSPTemplates folder is a shared folder used by all Video Studio versions
Where templates have been created by say X10 then they may not work with 2021
Rotating Text for instance uses Boris Graffiti to animate the text, unfortunately 2021 does not use Boris Graffiti.
Even if you were to open that in 2021 the rotating text would not work.
If you view the folder it contains a BMP image, that image is used as the libraries template thumbnail, so a way to id the template, if its in the library.

I do not know which version actually installed Rotating Text and not showing in X10, 2020 or 2021

It does appear there may be a few shall we say redundant templates from older versions, or ones we have installed, either free or purchased

That is too bad, I have all of the previous versions right along. I guess if I need to use Boris or anything like that I can just use an earlier version. Huh. Thank you!
