DDS Batch Processing?

Post by scottb613 »

Hi Folks,

Been a PSP user since Jasc - currently on X9. Do any of the newer version incorporate DDS natively as a file type to save - without using NVidia? I have thousands of files to process and the kludged NVidia Plugin won't run in the batch function or via scripts - without user intervention.

Thanks.

Regards,
Scott

No PSP has not added native DDS support. If you have the standalone version of Nvidia DDS conversion you can use it with command line. That would allow for scripting a batch conversion.

I read once that ImageMagick command line tools can convert to DDS. As well paint.net and GIMP provide support for DDS.

Hi...

Thanks for the response - yeah - no point in upgrading then.

I'll look at the alternatives you suggested.

Have a good day.
:D
