Unable to use program
I downloaded Video Studio 2021 Ultimate a few days ago but when I open the program I am unable to use it and I soon as I move the Mouse the program shuts down. I did another download but I am having the same problem. I did report it to Core Support but have not heard back from them. This was a good few days ago.

Yes, this seems to be an issue with VideoStudio 2021. Program shutsdown in few minutes. Corel Support has been contacted but of no help

Why does Corel Support not answer to a problem. They want you to purchase their program but there is no support.

Another user having similar issues, I replied earlier today

I have been in touch with Corel Support and received a message regarding the New Blue filters that may attribute to this problem
Installing the Main Program only should NOT install these files, but should they exist can you go to...........
C:\Program Files\NewBlueFX\uninstallers
I see 18 files, 11 being named Uninstall*********
If these files exist can you run those Uninstall files, one at a time.
This will remove the New Blue from the FX library
From what I can see these files are 2021 only and should not affect other versions of VS

Hi Trevor only found five files which I ran and uninstalled but I still have the same problem. I do not know why Corel Support has not yet contacted me.

Run the cleanup 2021 tool (found in first topic of this forum), then reinstall 2021 again. However do not launch the video studio at this point. Go to New Blue uninstall folder and you should see a uninstall associated with VideoStudio. Run that uninstaller and then launch the program.
Also I would unselct installing Bonus features for now and then install it after ensuring program works (I am still having issues with that)

Used the cleanup tool then reinstalled program without the Bonus Content found one one uninstall file which I ran. Program will not open now.

I believe the instructions from Corel Support were to…
1 / Use the cleanup tool to remove Video Studio
2 / Install the program in full including the Bonus Features
3 / Do not run the program
4 / locate the New Blue uninstall .exe folder here -- C:\Program Files\NewBlueFX\uninstallers
5 / Run each Uninstall.exe
6 / After which VS will/should launch without issues.

Did you follow the instructions to uninstall the New Blue filters immediately after installing the program.
It seems important to remove New Blue before you actually run Video Studio.
You will have to uninstall using the Cleanup tool, then install, do not run the program, uninstall New Blue, then launch Video Studio.
You should do that as Corel Support when they do get in touch is going to ask you the same.
You mention in your PM using MP4 type video files, can you give details of those.
Some types using a variable frame rate do cause problems for Video Studio, generally recorded using mobile Phones, Drones etc.
Do you have Quick Time codec installed this may help playing some older MP4 video, will not harm to install provided you only install the codec and not the player.

I used the cleanup tool and then reinstalled vs 2021 but did not launch. Uninstalled New Blue and then launched and it seems to be working. Thanks will notfy Corel Technician.

Thanks for the update Terence, good to hear the program remains running.
A little strange that the install of the program and removal of New Blue is so specific.
Also strange that not all users suffer from this problem, for you must be very annoying.
Lets hope it remains fixed and that the program launches every time.

I just spent all day uninstalling and reinstalling. I found that NFX Titler 5 for Corel is my issue. Delete that, and it runs no problem. Install that plugin, and it silently crashes out every single time.

The problem has returned and unable to open the program. I have contacted Corel and Technician will be remotely try to solve the problem. Will let you know the results.
