new user really confused

I put in the IEEE-1394 card like the instruction book says to do then I am going to the DV-DVD Wizard like it says to do on page 21 just to see if I can do something and It says to select a recording device under DV Device but the arrow won't even do any thing when I click on it. I did go to the Device Manager on my computor and made sure that the camera and the new card I put in were detected. I am very new to this "obviously" but I am missing something aren't I? :cry: :cry: :cry:

It is not clear what you are trying to do and what your set-up is. Do you actually have a digital video camera connected via Firewire cable to the new Firewire card you have installed, and is the camera switched on in the PLAY mode?
