Effects Manager timecode in PAL

Post by v2to8 »

I'm working on a project in PAL. The timeline works in 25fps as does the preview monitor but the effects monitor timecode is 29.97fps (NTSC). Is this bug known about by the beta team? Or am I doing something wrong :?: :!: Thanks.

OK I confess, I use PAL, but I cannot find the fps in the timecode you refer to.

One thought - The clips you are importing to use, are they the default ones in the Media Library? Because they are NTSC 29.970 and 720x480
instead of the 720x576 and 25fps you would have it set to. If you are using this footage try importing some genuine PAL and see what you get.

Hi

This is all 100% PAL footage, 25fps. I've attached a screen capture below with the different timecodes highlighted... Note how the timeline and preview monitor timecodes are the same whereas the effects manager window shows a different 29.97fps timecode....

The Beta Team discovered the EM had a Timecode problem about 3 weeks ago, and Ulead has resolved this issue :D

To be precise, it is not drop-frame but non-drop-frame timing at 30 fps and it is in NTSC, as well.
