Audio fade does not respond

Post by Antois »

In preferences I put the audio fade to 7 seconds (+oké) and I rightclick in the audiotrack and select fade out. The result is no audio fade, not in the fragment modus neither in the Project modus. It worked before but not anymore. Maybe time for a reset of Video Studio?

I closed the program and opened it 10 minutes later and now the audio fading is working at the way I described above. Strange software.

I opened the audiomixer to see what I am doing and guess what: the program shuts down itself. I tried this several times and a few seconds after I opened the audio mixer Video Studio shuts down.It says: loading the wave form (which is not yet there) and then it closes the program. Now I understand that the audio fading is there one time and not the other time. The whole audio thing is not working properly. Anyone an idea what causes this? It's no fun working in this way.

I have to say after using F6 Preferences if the program crashes before you close the program all updated settings will be lost.
So once you have completed Preferences update you are best to reboot the program then all your changes will be intact.

As a test setting audio fade to 7 seconds worked for me.
When accessing Sound Mixer the wave form does show but can take a while to “Load the wave data” but eventually does complete without crashing.
I am testing using MTS video files.

What type of files are you working with, does the program crash with all video files or just specific ones.
Can you provide details of those video files.

Hello Lata. I use MP4, MP3, wav, jpg files.
However the problem seems to be solved by a reset of the program.

I asked customer service of Corel and they gave me the (simple) procedure to reset the program. And it works!
After a reset the library in Video Studio is empty (they told me before) but the folders My Projects and 24.0 are still there.

So a reset is usefull with this kind of failures.
