Unable to create mp4 file

Post by Mariola_B »

I finish my video and want to (did it many times before) share/ create an MP4 file. The best for my use is MPEG-4 AVC (1280x720, 30P, 10Mbps) . This is the best file, quality, and size, to upload to YouTube. Unfortunately, I can't do it now. It will not create any file. It will come up to 14-15% and disappear (see attachments). So I move to the next, bigger file but it is too big for what I need ( 9700 MB). I am doing this for over a year and never had a problem creating the MP4 I need. Not sure what happened.
Can anyone help?

Your profile doesn't say what version of VS you're using.

This isn't the best encoding settings for YT. You should upload to YT in the highest resolution that your source material supports. Recommended upload encoding settings for YT are found at https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171

You ought to look at your VSP where rendering dies and determine what clip or filter is causing the issue. As well, you might want to try letting YT match the properties of the first video clip added to your VSP.

Of course if it helps, you could render in a higher resolution and then render it in a lesser resolution using either HandBrake or VS itself.
