To many clips in capture mode

Post by kasame »

I'm a new user of Videostudio 8SE DVD. When I capture film from my VHS with Plextor convert X analog-digital converter, I've got over 500 clips files for 1 hour 45 min times capture!!!. How I can adjusted files size in capture mode? I can't find dialog Save video settings pannel.

Hi kasame

I am not sure about your set up, but with the Plextor convert X analog-digital converter are you capturing Dv-Avi?

If so then you are probably using ‘Split by Scene’
Un-check the box in the capture screen.

Even so 500 clips for 1hr 45 min is excessive.
If its not split by scene, i realy dont know whats going on here.

First, you need to confirm that you are capturing in DV/AVI format. If so, then the option should be there. When you first click on the Capture tab at the top of screen, you get three choices: 1) Capture Video 2) Import from DVD and 3) DV Quick Scan. If you click on 1 and your device is selected and set to capture DV/AVI (not just AVI), then there should be a little box in the upper left hand side of screen with 'Split by Scene'. But it is only there if you are capturing DV/AVI.
