The two links given on the Download page appear to be same Help file. That's what I get anyway. I've informed Corel.

Going from the update link within PSP 2022 itself, however, I get the update patch.

Yes, download link is not valid yet.
Perhaps from within PSP 2022...

I've downloaded the patch from within PSP 2022 and started its installation. It closed and then apparently removed the existing installation. But then at 12% of the installation of the patch, I got an error message to the effect that it could not find this file: C:\Users\[my name]\AppData\Local\Temp\Corel PaintShop Pro 2022\24.1.0.0\Lang\EN\Custom\FinSuc1.htm

Installation could not proceed beyond that so I cancelled out. I looked at that folder in AppData and indeed the Custom sub-folder at the end only held another sub=folder ("Images") but was otherwise empty.

Oddly enough, the 32 bit version of PSP was still working, but the 64 bit version had been effectively wrecked. So I guess I will have to uninstall the 32 bit version as well, and reinstall everything from scratch.

Incidentally, I would be interested to know the number of the build after the patch is successfully installed i.e. 24.1.0.XXX.

EDIT: I have just reinstalled from my original installation file, and have 24.0.0.113

EDIT 2: I successfully installed the update this time, and am now 24.1.0.27

The download page states that it is Corel PaintShop Pro 2022 Update 1, but the link is only for the Corel PaintShop Pro Multi-Language Help Package.

I was able to install the update from within PSP itself, and agree with Ken, that the resulting version is 24.1.0.27.

Since the patch version 24.1.0.27 I have a symbol next to the lettering (no function). Is that also the case with one of you?

Thanks, Jean-Luc 😉👍

So it is the icon for "Workspaces" as it was read in the change list.

How long is it supposed to take for the Installation Wizard to initialize for this update? I've tried the update through the software twice and now by downloading directly from the Corel update site and it gets to this point and just sits there at "please wait". I don't mind waiting if it takes a long, long time, but I can't tell if it's sitting there because it takes a very long time or because there is some problem I need to find and fix.

I suspect it takes quite some time. Well, it did for me. The first time I tried it, I waited and waited and then cancelled. Same thing happened the second time, but I had to leave my office for a while and when I came back, the installation was underway. So I don't know exactly how long the delay is. But let it go for as long as you can stand.

I'll be interested, though, to hear what experience others have had in this regard...

I was becoming concerned as to whether the update was running or not. It sat at 1% for the longest time, then finally moved to 2%, then finally to 3%, and so on. It progressed very slowly for sure, but you just have to be patient with it.
