Failed to Open Document - Error when burning BD disc

Post by gibsonse »

I'm getting an error when I create a BD disc. I click on BLU-RAY on the "Save Project to disc" menu under SHARE and I get a progress bar that stops at 26% and pauses, then I get a "Failed to open document" error. I click "OK" and wait and I get the same error 3 more times. I wait a little longer and then the burn progresses as normal. Does anyone know how to clear this error?

Same error in VS Ultimate 2020 and VS Ultimate 2021.

I'm running Windows 10.

I'm wondering if your project has one or more nested projects in it. These would be the actual .vsp file for the other projects. I ask because, as you probably know vsp files are in fact small text (i.e. document) files telling VS what videos are in that project, where they are and what has been done to them. It could be that VS is for some reason having difficult opening one or more of those files initially, though by the sounds of it, with time overcomes the difficulty and proceeds with the burning. I can't say, however, that I have ever heard anyone else have this problem. I don't nest project files within the main project file, so have never experienced it myself.

On another matter, I notice you say you are using Win 10 yet your Profile says Win 8 Pro. You might want to correct that.
