PSP 2022 not working with Win11

I purchased and installed PSP 2022 and it was working as intended in Win10. When Windows11 Insider Previews became available, I upgraded my OS and PSP 2022 stopped working. I tried reinstalling and that doesn't even work. When I try to run the installation I get an error message that says my installation has not been modified and if I want to complete the installation at a later time, to run setup again.

I've tried everything I can think of and nothing works. This happened on my PC running Win11 as well as my laptop running Win11.

I finally went back to PSP 2021 which I was able to reinstall - and it works as intended, no issues with Win11.

Anyone else having similar problems with PSP 2022 and Win11?

Yes, I know. I'm basically just reporting my experience. And that includes that PSP 2021 works with Win11.

Did you uninstall 2022 with the Windows uninstaller and then run the Corel cleanup tool? (see the sticky posts on the top of the forum)

what processor do you have. Windows 11 is more secure, using the wrong processor can cause apps not to work. Windows 11 has a slightly different menu system for selecting files. Also what other apps work that were installed on windows 10. You might need to give paintshop pro 2022 permissions to run in windows 11. Is anyone else having the same problem with paintshop pro 2022 and windows 11.

I've upgraded from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 pro and all is well.

Are you using 64 bit or 32 bit. If its the 32bit version it could then be a windows 11 fault.

Could people where paintshop pro 2022 works and does not work on windows 11 please post which version of windows 11 they are on.

One issue I've been hearing is driver issues. Though I think the problem could be down to corrupt file on your computer run a Run Sfc /Scannow Command in Windows 11 if that finds errors then that could be the problem.

Hold shift key and double click on paintshop pro icon.
You could try giving it about 10 minutes after trying to load it. Just to see if it does load.

Actually it is not nonsense. Some people have been known to force windows 11 on their computer even though they don't meet the requirements set out by Microsoft. It all depends on your system setup as to permissions. Also person did not tell us which version of windows 11 they are on ( pro version xxxx). Windows 11 has had several bug fixes lately. Even Microsoft have said some apps might not work in windows 11 at the moment and they are trying to find out why.

If one person is having trouble with PSP 2022 on windows 11 and others are not, you then have to eliminate the obvious first, drivers, CPU and antivirus. I would recommend running the sfc /scannow command in windows 11 to see if it could fix the problems. We also don't know if this person has a proper version of PSP 2022 and not a pirated version , as person has decided to install older version and sounds like they have not gone to Corel for help. You have to ask that as a previous version of PSP works and PSP 2022 does not for him, but for others it does. Microsoft now has even better detection on pirated software and stops them in their tracks, if it detects them.

If that does not work I suggest using http://www.parmavex.co.uk/winaudit.html and send that data it produces to Corel if they ask for it. This creates a comprehensive report on a machine's configuration, hardware and software.

I also updated my system to Windows 11 Pro from the Windows 11 homepage. (The official update from 10/05/21 using the Win11 installation wizard)
All programs and settings from Windows 10 have been adopted. Paintshop Pro 2022 (64-bit) has been working properly so far. In the info dialog, however, it shows Windows 10 instead of Windows 11.

Dou you think that before upgrading, the installation program is not looking if you meet the minimal requirements ? That's nonsense.

Again you don't know people very well. Some people actually ignore requirements and install windows 11 even if they don't meet requirements.
