Hi All,
I am trying to remove white speckles from around an edge of a transparent image.
I found an old video showing how to do this:
https://learn.corel.com/tutorials/corel ... ite-edges/
However those options are no longer available.
So I searched in here and found this post by @LeviFiction
https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?p=208489#p208489
Which I followed and dragged both white matt and defringe buttons out, but they appear to be greyed out and do nothing.
is there something I am doing wrong?
Or is there a newer way of doing this?

That video is for Photo-Paint which comes with Corel Draw. So it's a little different, though the options for the commands are similar.
In PSP these are selection specific commands. So you must have a selection active to defringe or remove black and white matte. You can either apply the defringing immediately on the current selection before copying and pasting, or you can Past As Selection to paste it as a floating selection on another image then apply the defringing.

Thank you for your reply LeviFiction.
I tried several times selecting it with magic wand etc and the buttons stayed greyed out .... finally after giving up and coming back to it later (after closing + reopening psp) they was highlighted.
So either I was doing something wrong or reopening psp fixed the problem. Thanks once again
