Videostudio 2021 Ultimate upgrade Install error

Downloaded the new Videostudio Ultimate upgrade today. When trying to install the program I get an error message that says that the installation does not match. Has anybody else encountered this?

and welcome to the forums, sorry you are having problems installing the program, dont think we have seen that error before, a little unusual

Adding an image to your post, first choose Full Editor & Preview
Then lower left for Attachments, browse for your Jpeg image file.
Place cursor below your reply/text – Place in line will insert the image.

When you downloaded the program what actual files did you use
You should have started with a small file at 7.091Kb -- VideoStudio_Install.exe
Think of this as a download Installation manager, it will download the program files to a folder of your choice, defaults to your desktop.
What actual files / folders did you download?

I would suggest you try to download the files again, you should choose a new empty folder for these files.

Have you installed the Pro version and now trying to upgrade to Ultimate
Or are you trying to install Video Studio Ultimate 2021 from scratch

Hey Trevor. Thanks for the welcome and response. I have 2021 Ultimate, but purchased the upgrade and am having trouble. I downloaded from Corel, the files, and the smaller ones installed first and were completed, but when it came to installing the main file I received the following error.

I am getting a bit confused. Before purchasing the upgrade, did you have VS 2020 on your computer and upgraded from that; or did you have VS 2021 but not the Ultimate version, and upgraded from there? Or did you already have VS 2021 Ultimate but for some reason purchased something to upgrade its build number?

In fact, from your second image, you already have the latest build (24.1.0.299).

If this is correct, then what exactly did you download -- what is the upgrade? And who did you buy it from?

I am a little confused, if you have Video Studio Ultimate 2021 why did you purchase the upgrade to Ultimate. That would be used to upgrade the Pro to Ultimate.

I assume you are able to run the program as the image seems to show VS 2021 Ultimate / About details show the latest service pack has been installed to 24.1.0.299
The downloaded installation files if the Ultimate version contains a folder called Bonus Features, the files are the Ultimate files, do you have those files.

As a thought, some upgrades / service packs if installed a second time may cause an error, maybe that is what you are seeing.
It does appear you are running the Ultimate version.

Correct. I found that I did not need the main file, just the smaller ones that installed properly. I have been running 21 Ult but there was an upgrade offer that got sent to me to add more multi-cam abilities, motion blur, masking, etc. I appreciate all the help. Issue resolved.
