Open the image you want to use as a pattern and then click on the Foreground swatch on the Material's Palette. Click on the pattern tab and your image will be there. Click on it and use it as you would any other pattern.

just to make sure you understood me
the image i will use as pattern will be applied on a part of another image
and by the way i cannot find where or how to use pattern.. under what tab, where?

You need to unzip Kathy's file (download it, right-click on it, unzip...)

Kathy_9 did in her original post. You can find this information in the help documents as well. Working with colors and materials
1) Open the image you want to use as a pattern
2) Click on the Foreground swatch on the Materials Palette 3) A color picker dialog will appear - click on the Patterns Tab in this dialog 4) Depending on your version of PSP you'll either see a drop-down box with a preview of the pattern, or just a list of patterns
5) Choose your open image from the list 6) Hit OK
There are also videos on YouTube on the use of patterns
