Cannot re-install PSP 2021

I uninstalled with Revo Uninstaller and now install does not work, it never seems to complete and there is no icon on the desktop to start the programme, I tried disabling Norton Auto protect but made no difference. I have it downloaded and double clicked PSP 2021 _Ultimate _DD.exe

It goes from bad to worse. tried the clean up tool, I did a search for the EXE file but could find no trace of it, don't know what to do next, cannot uninstall or re-install, it is not listed in the Control Panel uninstall or in Revo Uninstall

I suppose your main option now is to delete all references to it in the Registry, if you are brave enough. The Microsoft registry editing tool is called regedit and it's easy enough to find by typing that in the Win 10 Search window in bottom left of screen. (You can also type in the full Registry Editor.) When it's open on screen, search for PaintShop Pro 2021 (with PaintShop typed like that and not Paint Shop. And include 2021 in case you have another version still installed).

You will undoubtedly be surprised by how many references there are, but it is easy enough just to delete them when they appear and go on with the search by using the F3 key (Find Next).

Try re-running the uninstaller. It's a compiled AutoIT script that deletes all registry references to PSP as there are several that use it's GUID exclusively and won't necessarily say PSP.

Another option is to create a new admin user and try to install it under that account.

Thank you Ken, a more technical person than myself managed to solve it for me, all running well now. So frustrated I bought PSP2022 a mistake as I have a full printed manual for 2021. I shall appy for a refund.

This whole topic was about PSP 2021 from the title. Now you mention PSP 2022. Which was the one you were having trouble with?

PSP 2021, indesperation I bought PSP 2022 but before I installed it I managed to install PSP 2021 Thank you

I use Revo uninstaller Pro and I've never had any issues with uninstalling software with it.

Maybe try running the Registry cleaning part of CCleaner to remove any leftover bits of PSP 2021.
