Yes, I got an email offering it yesterday, though the price is hardly promotional at NZ$194.95 for the Ultimate version... I have Pinnacle Studio 24 though have done no more that open it a couple of times for a minor play. So I suspect I may leave version 25 alone right now...

Hi,
I like Pinnacle Studio but it still doesn't offer an integrated proxy or SmartProxy function like Videostudio. This, for me, has become imperative for 4K video editing. Pinnacle Studio does have SmartProxy when editing multicam but this feature hasn't migrated over to the regular timeline.

Well it's mid2021 it's about time to implement that.

Surely the list on that pic view isn't new to PS???
Everything on that list has been part of Video Studio for years.

Those "features" have been a part of PS for years also. But for those looking for the first time, or thinking to upgrade from a much older version, this information would be new.
And yes, you can see both the thumbnail of your video WITH the waveform without having to do any other clicking. A lot of the features that VS has now has started with PS. So you have an idea of what might be coming in the next version of VS.
I'd look at the new features to see if anything "new" is what you are looking for.

Tony, sometimes it's better not to list trivial features, and surly not to put them on top.
How stupid you think your buyers are?

One welcome new feature of PS25 is the ability to import 8K videos but unfortunately, the export resolution is still limited to 4K. VS can't handle imported 8K videos.

While these might be trivial features for the more seasoned editor, new people are starting to edit every day. Of course I look at "new features" since that is what would make the new release different from the previous. More advanced users would actually look at all the features.
Audio ducking, voice over, masking, mosaic blur, group moving of keyframes, etc. has zero meaning for a new person starting to edit. So, only go after the long time editors ignoring the new users? Or go after both.
It all comes down to who you are marketing your product to.... which should be to as wide an audience as possible.
