Hi
Can someone out there tell how to put text onto a jpeg image, I understand I need to click the T (text button) and I understand how to change the size of the font, but I don't know how to go about getting the text to show as a solid colour.
A example of what I'm getting is a text letter in say black but having an outline in white instead of being soild white, ie no outline.
I'm using Corel PaintShop Pro Ultimate 2021
Can anyone help
Thank you

Re: Text Help Needed
The outline (stroke) is controlled by the Foreground Color in the Materials palette or the Stroke size on the tool options palette. There are two options you can pick the one you prefer.
If you want no stroke the easiest option is to set the Stroke Width to 0, by default it's set to 1. Or you can "Transparent" button on the Foreground swatch of the Materials Palette to turn off the stroke color.
Here is a picture of the stroke Width box on the Tool Options Palette. And here is the Materials Palette You can see I have the Foreground Swatch set to Transparent (it shows with a crossed out symbol to indicate the lack of color), the "Transaprent" button is the third button under neath the swatch. The button order is: Type (color, pattern, gradient), Texture, Transparent. The mouse isn't visible in this screenshot but it's hovering over the Transparent button and the tool tip is visible.
It should be noted that you can only set one of the two swatches (Foreground or Background) to transparent at any given time. You cannot set both of them to transparent. If you wanted to hide the Fill leaving only the stroke you would make the background transparent. And increase the stroke width to make the stroke more noticeable.

Brilliant, thank you for your help its much appreciated, the reason I asked about this in the first place was because the outline was so big it was blocking the text out to such an extent it was hard to see the lettering.
Thank you once again
