Hello,
I am having an issue with exporting a video with a main background video and an overlay track. It plays no problem inside VSP 2019 but when exported the overlay track is missing.
Yes, I did click the upper right x button to save and exit.
I search on line for tutorial and the only one from corel I followed to the letter. Still the overlay track does not export with the video.
Any suggestion?

Hi,
From your description, your project file has a video clip to which you have added material in an overlay track.
The only way you could 'export' the project as described is if you did not render it, but have created the project, simply copied the video. Rendering is the process of combining the various components of the editing material into a final file.
Did you render the project file? before attempting to export it?? Specifically, with the project file open select Share (tab at top of screen) and then choose the form of rendering you want (same as project preferences or choose from various options). Then select the location (drive/path/file name) for the rendered result, and choose 'Start' to get the procedure going. Depending on the options chosen, likely to take longer than just playing the project file in edit mode.
Play the rendered result and it should have the overlay material you included within it.

Re: VSP 2019 overlay track does not save when exported
Using the 'X' button to save and exit may have been suggested by Corel but it is a very strange and odd way of doing it - the better way (to me anyway) is to use the 'File >> Save' option in the top left corner before closing - that way if you have not already saved as a project you will be prompted to do so - that for me has always saved the whole thing exactly as seen - then when you wish to view or resume editing a simple "File >> Open" has always restored the screen exactly as I left it

I agree if you are only talking about how to save the project. But the OP is talking about "exporting" video, and by that I suspect they are talking about what we call 'Share'. And using the X just does not enter that equation, as Davidk has pointed out.
