Same here. Tried several things...no luck.
Still, it bugs me that you pay for these apps all the same and you should expect them to work properly.
This one just doesn't seem to work at all for anyone?. I don't have LSC. Missed out on that by buying the Pro (standard) version of PSP 2020, I think? I have the Ultimate version of 2019.

Even though you removed VS and the associated MCCL, there may have been something left over in the Registry which then attached when you installed the PSP version -- unless, of course, you did a regedit search and destroy...

EDIT: I have just opened MCCL for the very first time -- though of course I don't know if it is the one originally installed with VS, or more recently installed with PSP 2022. Initially it went through an opening process, but crashed. I tried again, and this time it opened. It shows as version 1.2.7.654. Is that the version you have showing, Trevor (or anyone else who doesn't have VS on their computer)? But at least any different number might indicate the start of a reason why it is not working for so many...

I don't own VideoStudio. And MCCL won't' install for me. It claims there is no compatible version of PSP installed. Whatever that means. So I cannot test.

Ken
MCCL version 1.2.7.654 was provided with Video Studio, I believe the latest version of VS
I uninstalled that but also had to delete the MCCL folder which the installation does not remove, in fact uninstall does little other than removing P& F entry and the desktop icon
the program will still run via C:\Program Files\Corel\MultiCam Capture Lite / double clicking the MultiCamCapture.exe
So yes I know there is an issue uninstalling MCCL

I then installed the PSP version which is 1.2.7.680

So yes there is a problem using PSP MCCL for a lot of users which need escalating to the Corel Team / Support

I would suggest Uninstalling the MCCL
Delete the :\Program Files\Corel\MultiCam Capture Lite folder if that still exists
Install MCCL using Run as Administrator....

Then to run MCCL Right click the desktop icon for Run As Admin

post updated, typo correction....

I have posted to Centercode

Post updated

Additional testing to remove MCCL using Program and Features again did not remove all the program, leaving MCCL unable to run or install
I had to use Revo to scan for leftovers, once done I was able to Install MCCL PSP version which is now working again.

You must have something on you system, a lot of us don't. Glad it works for you, though. :D

I'll try that today.

Update: used Revo to uninstall and remove all instances from registry. Reinstalled as administrator, run as administrator. Got a screen that showed it was analyzing, then asked for resolution, then...nothing. Had those screens before. Only get that at first run.
Makes me wonder if the PSP version of MCCL really needs VS or dll's from VS?

Hi Zantara
I ran a re-install test again and did corrupt the MCCL which failed to run, double click the icon and nothing happens, Task Manager shows the program running for a few seconds, then clears.

I have now uninstalled yet again and re-installed the Video Studio version which is now working.
As I mentioned in an earlier post I am aware that uninstalling does not do such a good job only removing the MCCL entry in Program and Features.

I have posted details to the PSP development team hopefully they will sort this issue.

Although the MCCL is provided with VS and now PSP the program as far as i can see is a stand alone program, although can be launched from within VS.
There should be no dll files associated with VS.
I believe its just a corrupt installation issue that Corel need to fix.

I believe its just a corrupt installation issue that Corel need to fix.
I have come to the same conclusion and will wait and see if and when Corel wants to do something about it.

Thanks for being our "spokes person" :-)

Hello, PSP users

First of all, thank you for purchasing PSP2022 Ultimate version and I hope you are enjoyed the new feature introduced by PSP2022 version. At the same time, I would like to thank you for spending time to report the MCC Lite and Highlight Reel issue. I've forwarded the feedback right away to our Video team when I saw it in the forum.

Yes, we are aware of the Multi-Cam Capture Lite launch issue since last Friday and our engineer team is working on it. The good news is we finally can duplicate the problem on a specific system. But we still need some time to resolve and create a new version.

Please wait for my further update and I will share the download link of the new build once it’s ready soon. Of course, if you’ve raised the similar to our Customer support team, you will also get the same support later.

Again, thank you for your understanding and sorry for the inconvenience.

PS: We didn't encounter any strange issues for Highlight Reel by far. If anyone can share more information, it will be good for us to investigate the issue quickly. Thank you. :o

Cheers

I installed Highlight Reel in the Dutch language (as I am Dutch) where this issue occurred.
I removed it from my system and installed it in English, to see if that made a difference. It didn't.
I adjusted the size of the cat, but no other adjustment, the second image is a screenshot taken with Windows Snipping tool.
Why that would come up as: "no date taken" I don't know, when the result after using the AI background replacer does seem to have a recognisable date. All images are edited and saved on the same date.
I have tried it with different images and it happens randomly.
If it works it's a great addition for tutorials.

Hope that is any help at all.

Thanks for letting us know.

As far as I know the “No Date Taken” is referring to the date the photo was taken using a camera which will write the appropriate exif data.
When you use the Snipping Tool, yes there will be a Date Created but not Date Taken
Right click your image for properties and view the details, date taken column will be empty.

@Iata,
Thank you for your reply.
I just read the description and it is not meant to be used with anything other than photo's or video's.
When I bought PSP 2022 Ultimate there was little information about the apps.
My hope was that I could make an mp4 out of a combination of photo's and screenshots to use with tutorials.
My mistake.
When the issues are fixed, I should be able to do it using Multicam

Yes you should be able to make a video out of still images, just that the program looks for a Date Taken to sort the images unfortunatley taking a snapshot does not do that
I would assume you can rearrange the order of images on the timeline. I will give that a try.

How many images were you intending to use?

That is the problem. You can't rearrange the order of images.
How many images were you intending to use?
A total of 4 images. Three of which you can see in my screenshot.

A video contains 30 frames per second which will give smoothe playback.
Using still images to create a slide show, each image may be 10 seconds, using 3 images would be 30 frames or 1 second.
Not really long enough to view a slide show.

I am not really sure what you are trying to achieve using 4 images.

By the way you can drag images directly from the library to the timelines, inserts at 2 seconds, we can thed drag the clip to increase its duration
Just manual approach and not really suitable for loads of images.

Post updated
After hitting Create the images are placed on the timeline, I set 10 seconds for each.
I was able to drag images to rearrange the order
