The resize is extremely slow in some cases. I've noticed it when resizing images to make them larger.
I have a good computer, but the resizing strains the processor and slows any other open windows down.
Sometimes it takes over 30 seconds to resize.

If you don't need AI-powered to resize you may switch to Smart Size.

What I don't like:

1) it is VERY slow to load compare to previous versions;
2) the tutorial tiles are ANNOY in edit mode. Sure they go away, but there should be a way to turn them off;
3) I hate the every time I load it up I have to turn off the "tabbed documents". I wish it would remember that setting
4), probably the thing that I hate the most is that the "Photography" workspace can only be used in fill screen mode. WHY??

I haven't found anything in this version that I like more then previous versions. Hopefully that will change with continued use.

I have been using PSP for many years. Generally very satisfy with UI, capabilities, etc. Like occasionally happens, this time again issues with the program that should not be there IMHO. This time, it's the vanishing standard tool bar and missing keyboard shortcuts. Resetting PSP 2022 to the defaults takes care of it until you start the program the next time.
Also, a request to update the just installed program resulted in multiple abords. It would help that if an update turns out to be troublesome to get a message from Corel about this.
I like the AI background replace feature but it is not flexible enough. It should be possible to a number of things with the selection or deselection, not only replace, but also adjustment edits or effects.
I don't understand the concept of the simplified UI, too limited. But it was easy enough to get the full UI activated.

I don't like how slow it is. It's slow everywhere. I just tried to do my first "Batch Process" on a bunch of photos with some custom scripts that I use. On X9 it takes about 5 minutes per photo, so my 51 photos will usually take about 2.5-2.75 hours depending on what else I'm doing on the computer at the time. Using 2022 and barely running anything else it took almost 8 hours for it to process that batch of photos. Looks like X9 is going to be my go to for those occasions at a minimum. The more I'm using 2022, the more I appreciate x9.

I can't really believe that they're using that feature as a selling point. It has to be tried to be disbelieved!
The background remover is for that I have updated PaintShop but if that is Ai then I don't think it works well.
And otherwise not much has changed and I will not use those simple and slow Workspaces, but only use Complete and then nothing has changed.
Updated for nothing, I'm now going to wait for Luminar Neo to see if AI will work better and faster there.

After upgrading to PSP 2022, I decided to go ahead and take it up to Ultimate. The install says PSP 2022 is already installed and quits. Tech has been working on it, but so far, no luck.

Can we take it you have tried uninstalling the first version then -- perhaps after rebooting -- installing the Ultimate version?

Also the cleanup tool - https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=52337

I mean, technically the only thing PSP Ultimate has in program that Pro doesn't is the Sea To Sky workspace and use of the pro or ultimate splash screen on startup. Everything else is just an extra.

Normally, when you run the installer again and already have the program installed, you should get a message offering to modify, repair or uninstall the existing installation. Do you recall exactly what your message said? I am wondering if it said the program was already installed but went to offer one of these three alternatives...

I'm unable to install CreativeCollection. No CreativeCollection folder appears in the PaintSop Pro 2022 folder. No CreastiveCollection offered in the PaintShp Pro Welcome menu. Zero support from Support Engineer aka Diogo Barbosa despite several requests. Seem that If your problem cannot be solved right away and effortlessly your'e left to your own devices. Will I be banned for complaining?

No options, just a Quit box.

Is this still in BETA? It doesn't work very well. Well, some of it works well, and some of it doesn't.

What I like. I love the familiar interface and work space so I can go right back to what I was doing. The new downloads look exciting, if I could get them to work.

I could not download Painter Essentials or Particle Shop. It seems they cannot find an online installer.

Photo Mirage will not close, Nothing functions but the Welcome screen. In order to close it I must go to the Task manager.

If I go to "Brushes" and look in File Locations, it tells me where the brush files are supposed to be, but when I go to that location, the folder is empty. The program lists three file locations but two of the locations don't even exist. And why did they go to my OneDrive? I have looked for the BP Organic, Pointillism, Chaos, etc. brushes and cannot find them. Addendum: I found them. They were not where they were supposed to be, obviously.

Needless to say, I am a little frustrated with the extras, but the main program basically works.

They disappear when an image is placed in the workspace.
Seriously, that's your answer? That is not good enough. Not even close. I don't want them there at all.

I found this Q and A via google and registered with this board *specifically* to get the answer to this question.

If there's truly no way for a user to scrub this graffiti off the workspace, I will revert to the previous version.
