I keep getting a runtime error R6025.
I do everything with vectors, and save to PSP format.
It was, that if I saved a file with an open vector in it, I would have to start the project over. Every time I try to open the image, as soon as I click the open vector, PSP crashes. With the popup about the runtime error. Before as long as I made sure that I changed all my open vectors to Raster before saving and closing the image, I didn't run into issues. Now it is happening while I am working on the image, becoming useless...
I don't understand why? I removed my microsoft visual c++ runtime installs in Add/Remove. Didn't help.
I am on latest windows 10 home
Alienware R17 laptop - 32gig ram - 1 tb ssd - Nvidia M770 graphics

Re: Using vectors in psp file causes crash
OMG!!! I have been dealing with this for months and pretty much accepted my fate thinking it was my laptop having the issue. I have done a reset, holding the shift button while starting Paintshop Pro. I have uninstalled and reinstalled paintshop pro a couple of times. I was absolutely losing my mind, I consider myself at the least a little tech savvy, but could not figure this out.
I almost didn't follow the link because I thought it was going to be the shift reset, glad I did...
Reset the database, works absolutely wonderful now.
Thank you Jean-Luc, so happy now.

Re: Using vectors in psp file causes crash
I've been using it now for a few hours and its definitely fixed the issue, can't believe it was that simple after all. I will not forget the remedy any time soon, thats for sure.
To be honest I was even looking into buying photoshop, and I've been with PSP since I started, but I thought PSP wasn't going to play right with my laptop and it is a bad *** laptop for what I need it for...
Thanks again, I also can't believe how fast it is now...

Re: Using vectors in psp file causes crash
Okay, ran into the issue again. Every bit of information helps to find the solutions. It happened when I tried to use a certain font in PSP, KGBrokenVesselsSketch.ttf.
I deleted the font from my windows\font folder and then went online to download it and see if it happened again.
When I clicked to download it, the website had a warning that I have never seen before when downloading fonts online,
"Caution - Windows users
This font is heavy to load and may freeze or crash the Windows font viewer.
You should avoid previewing it before installing it (do not double-click on the font file, but right-click > Install)"
Was one of my favorite thick fonts...
So now I need to worry about fonts freezing my laptop, lol...
