Sorry John......SQL does not work for VS 2020 files, unless gewb has ideas......

From the tests I have made it appears that the library used by 2021 has been updated to use a single db (data base file), it is this file that SQL is able to edit allowing us to delete these library folders.
Unfortunately 2020 library uses the existing folder format containing multiple files. I have not found a way to correct the greyed out delete option for 2020.

You could try using 2021 trial, import your 2020 library, if the trial allows that.
You should then be able to use SQL on 2021 db.
If that works It would be your choice whether purchasing the full version is worth it.

I guess I am fortunate as not to rely on VS library as a media store, I manage my files using windows explorer, so resetting my library and rebuilding is not an issue.

TNAKS Trevor - thats now very clear. If I thought VS2021 upgrade would allow a path to solve the VS2019 legacy issue, I would JUMP at the solution - it has cost me $thousands so far in wasted project time and weeks and weeks of Corel support nonsense- so the upgrade costs are miniscule by comparison to the BIZ costs and tensions involved. My "key" project at the heart of my dilema has taken 3 years+ in build, and runs for 80mins, and has around a thousand+ content assets sorted into about 30 Library folders (plus a small number of unrelated library folders that if pushed I am happy to lose and reconstruct. The Corel Library concept SUITS the way I have organised my extensive content - it would have been harder to try to sort the structure using Windows folders in the way you suggest. AND if VS did what it says on the tin it would be GOOD, as I thought it was.

The thought of "starting over" with a new tool scares the doodoo out of me and would probably occupy me for 3 months of my time and I could easily die by then :)

YOUR input and that of other forum members has been invaluable in at least confirming I am not alone and not going completely mad - there have been times when I thought I was - especially when Corel Support were "helping" me (NOT).

Regards John
John

so are you intending to give the trial version a run.
I would not open any of your project files just to check if importing the 2019 library to 2021 allows you to tweak to delete library folders.
Certainly that does work using the full VS 2021 version, but I feel you need to test.
