Doesn't PSP X 2 have a preset shapes tool?

Post by jparnold »

I want to create an arrow but I cannot find 'preset shapes' in the tool bar.
Doesn't PSP X2 have this? What can I do other than update?

It should be just below the Text tool and above the Pen tool. Fourth from the bottom if you have not customised the work place too much.

Thanks. That is what I thought and I have not done any customisation. All I have between the text and pen tool is the Ellipse tool (see image)
Maybe I need to open my wallet and upgrade although $70 just to get preset shapes might be easier to search the internet for freeware shapes.

In the image you show the ellipse tool has a drop down arrow next to it, click that arrow and you should see the preset shape tool, the rectangle tool,.and the ellipse tool fly out.

Thanks. I must be going blind as I clicked on the elipse tool earlier and did NOT see the drop down menu IO now see.
I'm have a 'bad hair day' - well that only half correct as I am half 'folicular challenged' that is why I wear a hat

I think now that perhaps that I did see the dropdown menu and perhaps selected preset shapes but expected to see a 'menu' or a few different ones (like in MS Word) instead of just an arrow which is only seen when you click and drag. Aren't there other shapes to choose from?

Fabulous. Thanks for pointing that out. I was sure there should be more than just one.
