Inserting a new photo / media at a specific point
Is it possible to get CVS X10 to insert a NEW photo where the cursor is rather than at the end of a track, where I then have to drag it all the way to where I want it.

A bit more to it than that.
Click n drag from the library will put an image where the time pointer is: timeline or other track.
rt-click in the timeline space, and import a photo will put the selected photo just after the last clip in the selected track: then you need to drag to the desired place. To import an image to the library, select the folder icon with the + symbol (import media files) in the library space, and then navigate to/select the image you want: that will put it in the library. Drag it from there to the marker place on the timeline or any track as you wish.

Simply drag and drop your new image onto the timeline from Explorer. However, you can only drop an image onto the Video Track either before or after an existing image on the Video Track, but you can drop an image anywhere you want using an overlay track.earthcomedy wrote:Is it possible to get CVS X10 to insert a NEW photo where the cursor is rather than at the end of a track, where I then have to drag it all the way to where I want it.

Thanks for all the responses! I've been using the pulldown INSERT MEDIA to TIMELINE and not adding images to the library. I see adding to library and then dragging works much better!
